It isn’t unusual to feel incredibly alone when diagnosed with cancer and undergoing treatment. However, there are ways of reaching out and finding someone to talk to that knows the things that you are going through and can provide support.
The Cancer Connection is one such program, connecting people that need counseling and support with other individuals that have walked in their shoes before. Its part of the Canadian Cancer society and its a national network with over 1300 volunteers. Its a supportive online community for cancer patients and their caretakers, and handles all patient information with the outmost confidentiality.
